

Andrew Jacobs
Rabbi
Rabbi Andrew Jacobs has served as the Senior Rabbi of Ramat Shalom Beth Israel in Plantation, Florida, for nearly 23 years. A respected leader in both the Jewish and interfaith communities, he is a Past President of the Broward Board of Rabbis and the Plantation Interfaith Association of Clergy, and he currently serves on the Miami Board of Rabbis. His interfaith efforts include building meaningful relationships with local Christian clergy and actively supporting the Ukrainian community in South Florida.
Rabbi Jacobs was ordained by the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and holds a Master’s Degree in Jewish Art and Material Culture from the Jewish Theological Seminary. He is a founding board member of Beit Kaplan, a new rabbinic organization dedicated to reclaiming and strengthening the foundational principles of Reconstructionist Judaism, with a strong emphasis on Zionism. He is also a proud member of the Zionist Rabbinic Coalition and a former Clal–Rabbis Without Borders Fellow.
Throughout his career, Rabbi Jacobs has been recognized for his thoughtful leadership, inclusive vision, and commitment to both tradition and innovation.
