

Adina Sharfstein
Cantorial Soloist & Educator
Adina Sharfstein is a distinguished Holocaust educator, speaker, and professional development facilitator with 32 years of experience in Broward County Public Schools. She is known for her interdisciplinary approach to Holocaust education, integrating literature, art, and film for both children and adults. A recipient of the Gutterman Family Holocaust Educator of the Year Award (FAU, 2014) and the Brodzki Family Holocaust Excellence in Education Award (2018), Adina has developed curriculum and led extensive professional trainings for BCPS.
She has participated in advanced educator seminars at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, and Holocaust sites in Poland, and has worked with Holocaust Heroes Worldwide to connect students with survivors. Adina currently serves as Program Coordinator for Holocaust Survivor Friends through the Jewish Federation of Broward County, fostering meaningful intergenerational relationships between survivors and high school students while promoting empathy, leadership, Jewish values, and antisemitism awareness.
In addition, Adina is an accomplished Cantorial Songleader who leads worship and life-cycle events across South Florida. A lifelong lover of Broadway, she volunteers at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. A product of URJ Camp Coleman, she has been married to her husband Rick for 38 years and is the proud mother of twin sons, Ari and Micah.
