Journey to the Promised Land: Highlights of the Books of
Joshua and Judges

Mondays - November 2, 9 and 16

10:30 AM

What We Will Cover

After wandering in the desert for forty years, we follow Joshua and the men and especially women of Judges into the land promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. In three interactive hour-long sessions, we will uncover engaging narratives of legacy and inheritance, love and lust, trust and betrayal, cowardice and courage embedded in narratives of conflict and reconciliation.

Ignoring God’s ethical instructions, we seek forgiveness and harken back to the prophetic voice that leads to redemption. We are inspired by harlots and heroes, warriors and victims and learn their cautionary tales. In addition, we will explore some contemporary stories adapted from their Biblical counterparts.

Discover how these ancient stories resonate with modern spiritual journeys as we enter our personal promised lands.
