What We Will Cover

Elijah is one of the most fascinating figures in Jewish tradition. Unlike most biblical characters, Elijah never died; instead, he was taken up to heaven in a fiery chariot. In rabbinic literature, he appears again and again, serving as a bridge between heaven and earth. The Talmud describes him in surprising disguises, sometimes as a Roman soldier, other times as a poor beggar, or even as a prostitute, always bringing divine messages, offering guidance, or stepping in to rescue Jews in moments of crisis.
