Megillat Ruth: "Between the Lines" with Rabbi Segelman

Date

04/29/2021

From

10:30 AM

To

11:30 AM

3-week series starting Thursday April 29 @ 10:30 AM

The Book (it's actually a scroll) of Ruth is a short and seemingly simple story. Yet between the lines, there are layers of deep and powerful insight. What does it mean to be a "Jew by choice?" Why is it so hard to accept the outsider and what are the lessons hidden there? What do we learn from how faith and acts of kindness raise a person from being an outcast to becoming the mother of spiritual royalty? And for course, what does this mean to us as we celebrate the Festival of Shavuot?
